Our unique focus at origin has enabled us to build a sourcing network of suppliers at community level. We have supported many suppliers through crop procurement finance and have also provided capital investment to enable them to develop their businesses through investment in transport and warehousing.

This sourcing network is adding value to the supply chain and specifically contributing to building rural economies. We are now a recognised lead supplier of agricultural products and food ingredients to a broad range of customers. We therefore recognise the requirement to have systems and processes in place to track the chain of custody across the supply chain.

Responsible Sourcing Guidelines

We are continuing to develop Responsible Sourcing Guidelines that will be applicable to the full range of products within our supply chains. They will be developed through consultation and external technical support and will build on our increasing capability to trace products to source. We are committed to continuous improvement over the accountability of how we introduce produce into the global food chain, through our own production, small and large-scale farmers or suppliers.
