We have expanded our upstream operations across ten products and eleven origins, increasing our control over traceability and stewardship. We are focusing on full compliance with relevant international industry standards such as Responsible Forest Management (RFM), Forest Stewardship Council^TM (FSC^TM; FSC-C006439) and Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). In those instances where a recognised standard does not exist, we work with academic institutions, industry experts and NGOs to develop and implement our own.

We divide our upstream operations into:

• Plantations – developing our plantations to internationally recognised standards

• Concessions – managing our forestry operations to industry standards, safeguarding environmental stewardship and social welfare

• Company Farms – we are applying recognised sustainable agricultural practices to minimise impact and maximise yields.
