Man in dairy in the Ivory Coast

Dairy

Dairy production accounts for a large part of the GDP of many countries, exporting countries with significant surpluses of milk including members of the European Union, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina and the USA. Today, the world’s dairy products trade is estimated to be worth US$ 25 billion or roughly 53 million tonnes of milk equivalents. This only accounts for about 7% of the world’s total output.

Olam is the dairy ingredients supplier of choice to many markets and end users. First starting out in 2004 to supply our first consignment of milk powders into Algeria, we have since grown into a dairy business with extensive operations spread across more than 20 countries worldwide. Today, we are among the top five traders of dairy ingredients in the world.
