Outspan Peru was established in April 2006 and was Olam’s first operation in the Central America and Andean region. What started as a coffee exporting business from the main port city of Peru in 2006 has today become a multi-product operation dealing in high-quality washed Arabica coffee, oregano and paprika, with two coffee processing mills, one oregano processing mill and direct presence in six different locations in Peru.

We are amongst the top five exporters of coffee and the largest exporter of oregano from Peru. Our business model relies on direct farmer contacts and collection of product as close to the farmer as possible, managing the entire value chain until the sale and delivery to the final customer. In coffee, we have made great strides in implementing farmer programmes in line with Olam’s Livelihood Charter, contributing to ensure the sustainability of the livelihoods of close to 1,000 families in some of the least developed areas in the country.
